What is a family-friendly book?

Doodle and Peck prides ourselves on creating fun, educational books with oodles of "read-aloud-ability". We want our patrons to have no hesitation in leaving a Doodle and Peck title laying on the coffee table, or worrying if the content is appropriate for young ones to pick up and read. We try to create books that are entertaining and educational, not controversial.
Where are Doodle and Peck books printed?

Our books are printed in the United States. We like the idea of providing jobs for American printers.
Are you an eco-friendly company?

At Doodle and Peck Publishing, we reuse lots of shipping materials such as cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for packing. We also are diligent to recycle paper, metals, glass, cardboard, and aluminum. We want to act in a responsible manner to do our part in keeping the Earth safe and clean for future generations.
Are Doodle and Peck books "self-published"?"

No. Doodle and Peck Publishing is a traditional publisher. Our authors do not pay us, we pay them.
Are your books levelled for young readers?

Not in the technical, educational sense. Many of our authors are former teachers and/or librarians. Our senior editor has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education. We are very cognizant of a book's developmental age appropriateness. Therefore, our books have suggested age and grade ranges. A title's "read-aloud-ability" is very important to us. Librarians, teachers, and parents all love using our books for reading aloud.
Do you take purchase orders?

We certainly do! Simply use the contact form, or call D&P at (405) 354-7422 and answer a few short questions. As soon as we receive a copy of the purchase order, we will ship out your order. Simple!
Does D&P sell to public libraries and school libraries?

Certainly. There are several options for libraries to purchase our books. Ingram and Brodart are our main distributors. However, when libraries purchase directly from Doodle and Peck, they receive a 15% discount as well as pay no shipping. For purchasing direct, either use the contact form or simply call us at (405) 354-7422.
Does Doodle and Peck sell direct to book stores and retail outlets?

We do. Retail stores receive a wholesale discount. The more books they buy, the larger the discount. If you are a book store or retail store and would like to purchase direct, give us a call at (405) 354-7422, or use the Contact Us page.
Do all orders receive free shipping?

Doodle and Peck ships free to anywhere in the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not contiguous. For orders outside the free shipping zone, we will be happy to quote a fair shipping price for your order. Simply contact us using the Contact Us page, or call us direct at (405) 354-7422.
How quickly is my order shipped?

Most of the time your order is shipped the same day or the following business day. We strive to get your books to you ASAP!
Do you accept returns?

Yes. If the book(s) is in new condition, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. Place a copy of your order in with the book(s) and mail them to: Doodle and Peck Publishing Attn: Returns 413 Cedarburg Ct. Yukon, OK 73099
Do your authors do school visits or presentations to organizations?

Many of them do. Simply use the Contact Page and place a request for information about a school visit or presentation to your organization. Please include your email and contact information and we will pass it on to your preferred author or illustrator.
Are your authors and illustrators all from Oklahoma?

No. We have authors all across the United States--Oklahoma, New York, Florida, Virginia, and Missouri.
